Iowa Bounces Minnesota

Nick Moore got things off to a start with a pin (his first since the 3rd round of the Midlands) and Iowa never really looked back. As expected, Minnesota needed all of their top guys to win to give them the chance and then win the bonus points battle. However, the 2nd match of the night all but sealed this scenario when Evans defeated Storley in overtime. What should have been 3-3 after two matches was 9-0 Iowa.
It wasn't very long in to overtime when Mike Evans popped his head out on a double and drove Storley to his back. Immediately Storley rolled him to his back with an over under, but two was already given to Evans. The call is sure to be discussed for quite some time as these "no reaction" calls certainly make some situations tough on officials.
23-12 was the final score for the Hawkeyes over the Gophers. Even the bonus point battle went Iowa's way with the Nick Moore pin and the tech fall Thomas Gilman had over Lizak. Iowa is the #1 team in the land, but Minnesota may get another show at the National Duals.
