Bisek, Anderson Claim Gold

I really didn't want to watch the ESPY's and the forecast was a gorgeous 75 and sunny here last night so I took in a minor league baseball game (West Michigan Whitecaps). Since Grand Rapids is "beer city USA" the selection of drafts is excellent as well. We stopped at the bar afterwards went to order a drink and saw Andy Bisek on the TV hitting a gut wrench. ESPN2 was using its coverage to show the gold medal wins from Bisek and Jon Anderson. It was surprising and awesome to see.

Of course, it wasn't much of a surprise that the USA Greco guys started off the Pan Am Games slate with 4 medals. Perhaps the biggest surprise being that Spencer Mango was soundly defeated by a guy from Ecuador.

Many more medals should be on the way for USA Wrestling and hopefully that means more performances on ESPN.
