Ohio State Stuns Big Ten

While many expected the magic to come from Penn State to continue their run to keep that one season a caveat to history, Ohio State had different plans. After a first session that didn't produce any big shockers, the Buckeyes took over Saturday night placing six into the finals.

While Cael magic seemed on short supply, their studs still had them ready to hold off the challenge. After Retherford and Nolf dominated, prized freshman Mark Hall stepped on to the mat with Bo Jordan in a winner take all of sorts. The match went to overtime and while one might expect Jordan to take it to rideouts, he wisely shot in and finished to win his first Big Ten title.

Tom Ryan drove back to Columbus with four conference champions, invigorating an NCAA team race that was thought to be dead upon arrival to St Louis. With a healthy Bo Jordan and surging Kolin Moore complimenting Snyder and Tomasello, Penn State is going to have to put together a better showing than they did in Bloomington in order to remain the top team in college wrestling.
