Throwback Video: Cael vs Cormier 2001 NCAA Finals

So there's not much news to report this week so far other than Angel Escobedo stepping in for Tony Ramos for the Pan-Am Games. So here is a throwback video of the greatest American wrestler of all time taking on current MMA star Daniel Cormier in the 2001 NCAA Finals. 

Sanderson is seriously amazing to watch in a classic video. He does everything you want. He sets the pace and wrestles unattached to his opponent. It's incredible. 

Also, isn't it weird how a video from 2001 can look so old?

Cormier made a fatal mistake near the end of the match, guaranteeing his loss. He posed among the biggest threats to Cael Sanderson, considered the greatest American amateur wrestler in recent history, together with John Smith and Dan Gable.
