For the first time, Eastern Michigan defeated MAC conference opponent Northern Iowa as the Eagles continue to make huge strides this season. They took 6 matches to win 22-14 to beat Northern Iowa for the first time entering the dual winless in their previous six meetings.
The match came down to Anthony Abro who, after trailing in the first period, locked up a cradle for pin to clinch the victory.
Eastern Michigan made waves earlier this season when they shutout Big Ten in-state opponent Michigan State. The Eagles have a great young coaching staff and are making awesome progress.
