The Weekend Ahead

The weekend ahead is full of interesting matches as dual season practically hits its peak. Most people are focusing on Ohio State travelling to challenge Penn State. Spoiler Alert: they can't. It's okay though, there is plenty of other awesome duals to focus on this season as we are just weeks away from the conference tournaments.

Bedlam 2: The Reckoning! I don't know what you want to call it, but another interesting installment in the Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State rivalry. The ever-changing Cowboy lineup has made headlines all year long, and they will have to face a young Sooner team who is looking to rebound from being crushed in the first Bedlam.

Papolizio likes to make his schedule tough. The undefeated NC State squad travels to Lincoln to face a tough Nebraska team Saturday night. The match is on BTN2Go if you're home Saturday night.

Nebraska hosts Illinois on Friday night making another interesting match. If everyone is healthy, this should be a dual that comes down to the end.

Michigan travels to the east coast for the first time since the expansion last year to face Maryland and Rutgers. Without the (likely) services of Davonte Mahomes or Taylor Massa, Michigan will probably be turning to Aaron Calderon who has wrestled at 157 & 165 this season. This, along with some interesting matchups, could lead to a possible Rutgers upset.

On Sunday, Missouri goes to Illinois for a border war of sorts full of good matches. Speaking of geographic rivalries, Purdue goes to Bloomington to face an Indiana team looking for their 4th Big Ten win of the season. That's saying a lot for a team who ended a drought going back to 2009 earlier this season.
