The 24th All-Academy is this Saturday at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. Wrestling has many really neat traditions and nooks & crannies (if you will) and this certainly is one of them.

Every year the eight academies meet for a tournament that rotates between them as hosts. The post commander traditionally gives a welcome before competition commences and only the eight academies are the competitors: Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, The Citadel, Merchant Marine Academy, VMI, and Norwich.

Navy appear to be the favorites this year even though Army is coming off their first ever back to back titles. The hosts have a couple strong individuals looking for titles and the other academies usually pull off wins in surprising spots. Six of the eight academies have champions in the last two events.
