Midlands Results

I feel like I could watch a Terao and a Walsh wrestle anytime and anywhere. Chad Walsh (Rider) is just like his brother (Taylor, NCAA Finalist for Indiana) and brought the kitchen sink to try to take out Imar, similarly to what Josh Terao (American) did with his semifinal opportunity against Gilman. It's beyond entertaining to see guys do whatever they can to knock off #1's.

Michael Kemerer (Iowa) and Tyler Berger (Nebraska) had a 157 lb final that stole the show themselves. They attacked and attacked almost immediately upon every restart. Their scrambles made it a tough match to officiate and it eventually ended up with a controversial tiebreaker win for Kemerer. Berger almost made it four champs for Nebraska as they continue to impress this season.

The Midlands are a great tradition and one I hope continues long after I'm gone. We had a lot of people participate in the "pick'em/beat the idiots" contest. Somehow, myself (Tommy) came away with a 27 point victory. Ben Law and SDMeyers tied for 2nd with 24 points. I must have blacked out because my Midlands picks never do well!
